The collaboration between Yves Behar and SodaStream to revamp the design of Source, a home carbonater, has won them a product design award from Red Dot for 2013. Soda making enthusiasts can now enjoy a more streamlined design for soda making ease and efficiency, making Source an attractive addition to kitchen appliances left within sight.
A focal feature of Source’s redesign is the snap-lock mechanism that firmly stabilizes the reusable 1-litre, BPA-free carbonating bottle with a single push motion. The LED indicator communicates carbonation levels to the user for mild, medium or high fizz, and the entire top surface of Source is responsive to touch- thanks to refined mechanics. The CO2 carbonator makes up to 60 liters of soda.
Source is available as a Starter Kit and a Metal Edition Starter Kit. Both kits come with a Sodamix Taste Sampler, containing 6 flavors; and the 1-liter carbonating bottle with fizz-preserving cap. The Source starter is available in black and white, and the Metal Edition is available in white, black, red and blue.
