iguaneye freshoe: ultra-minimal shoes

Originating as a Kickstarter project for the world’s most minimal shoe, the Iguaneye freshwater slipper borrowed from Amazonian pre-technology to develop footwear that would replicate the freedom of walking barefoot.
The anatomic form of the shoe was custom-created by Dulster Design. Though the shoe appears minimal enough, it was crafted ergonomically to ensure a supportive, secure and comfortable fit.
A key feature of the freshshoe is its emphasis on ventilation. Its ventilated system is composed of six openings and a series of conduits beneath the footbed, allowing air to circulate under the foot arch. Moisture is absorbed by the cork insole and evacuates continuously.
Cork (99%) and latex (1%) are fused together to establish the removable insole, and then coated with leather hide. These materials were chosen to achieve maximum hygiene and comfort. The cork acts as a naturally antimicrobial material that absorbs sweat and deters odor. Additionally, there is a micronet incorporated into the sole (handmade in Portugal) at the moulding stage allowing the cork to adjust and support various shapes. Iguaneye recommends switching between two insoles to allow the prior to regenerate after heavy use, and or replacing frequently to maintain its hygienic component.
The Iguaneye is hypoallergenic and recyclable. Grip and wear resistant.
Available colors: light gray, violet, anthracite and blue; color configurable.
