Design team Makkink & Bey created the EarChair with privacy and solitude in mind. The “ears” serve as isolating elements meant to keep outside noise out and inside noise, such as a phone call, in. Once two or more chairs are combined in a space, a room within a room is created, and once the built-in armrest-table is factored in, it becomes an optimum environment for productivity. The “ears” are available in three sizes: small(230mm), medium(470mm), and large(1000mm). This variety coupled with position of the armrest-table comprises an available 10 models. The upholstery is available in a multitude of colors and patterns, making the interior space created by the chair feel just that much more comfortable and tailored to your taste.
