Kristalia was founded in 1994 by young local entrepreneurs joined by two common passions: design and jazz.
Right from the very start, Kristalia paid special attention to innovative projects, by means of experimentation and the continuing search for new technical solutions, using materials which they adapted from the fields of fashion and sports.
The Poule occasional table has a light and playful appeal, starting with its name inspired by the shape of the pedestal that recalls a hen’s foot. But it is also highly practical: in drawn aluminium with pressure die-cast components in the same resistant material, it has a fold-up top so that it can be stored in limited spaces. Available in two heights, it has an aluminium frame with a black or white epoxy lacquer finish for outdoor use, and a round or square laminate top.
Poule is a minimalist furniture collection by France-based designer Patrick Norguet for Kristalia. The collection is characterized by the tabletop’s ability to bend and fold away for storage or transportation. The sidetable comes into two different style – round or square – and two different heights. The base frame is made of industrial powder coated aluminum.
Streamlined, functional, minimalist. This design not only looks killer, but the hinged tabletop is something I could have used while living in my shoebox apartment in NYC. This is a simple detail, but I love how the legs flare out on the sidetable. The frame looks light and airy – yet holistically, the design looks incredibly solid.
