A reintroduction of the colander Ole Jensen designed for Room Copenhagen in 1995, this colander is used to both drain and serve. Pour vegetables or pasta over the perforated side, and shake to strain water. A simple turn of the wrist transfers the food to the other side so it can easily be poured into a bowl for serving. The rounded colander is cleverly shaped like an orange peel and is crafted in a smooth yellow melamine. Ole Jensen’s cookware line for Room Copenhagen was voted the #1 product line at Maison & Objet October 2013 by Wallpaper magazine.

The Colander is available in 2 colors.

Ole Jensen is a ceramist and designer born in 1958 in Denmark. Jensen attaches great importance to the primary function of things and to the pleasure of performing everyday tasks. With a strict adherence to functionalism and simultaneously deploying a wry sense of humour, his housewares are all at once highly utilitarian and sculpturally playful.
