Italian industrial designer giulio iacchetti has developed ‘ape’ aperitivo set for alessi‘s 2012 collection. the seven piece assortment consists of a bowl and spoon for mixed nuts, a container for olives, a toothpick holder, a bowl for chips, a waste receptacle and a wooden cheese board. comprised mostly of thermoplastic resin and stainless steel, the aperitif system creates a neutral backdrop of various heights for a dynamic landscape of food. the individual components can be placed one into the other for practical and compact use.

The varying heights and profiles of the different components are coordinated to allow them to nest closely together, but they work just as well spread apart.

Great for home or bar table, Ape is the latest in a series of elegant cocktail products Alessi has brought forth since the 1950s. Made in Italy from 18/10 stainless steel, thermoplastic resin and wood. Wood cheese board measures approximately 8 inches (20.3 cm) across.
