The Cassina Utrecht Armchair is a stunning design that still looks modern after 70 years.

Designed by Gerrit T Rietveld back in 1935, the Utrecht is built around a steel frame with polyurethane foam and polyester padding combining to give the impression of a ‘floating’ chair, even though it’s as solid as any chair on the market.

Utrecht’s distinctive shape is achieved via an internal steel frame. White stitching highlights its structure of geometric shapes accentuating the iconic armrests and the gentle recline of the seat. This armchair, manufactured by Cassina, is from a collection of seating solutions which includes a Two Seater and Three Seater Sofa.

Polyurethane foam and polyester padding deliver a generous depth of seat and back enhancing its confident presence. Utrecht is upholstered in Bacco or Charlot fabric in addition to Scozia leather and is available in a number of colour options. Black plastic feet secure a stable positioning and offer an understated finish.

The Utrecht Armchair is part of the the “Cassina Maestri” collection. These are certified original designs, each of which is marked with the signature of the designer and the Cassina Maestri logo, together with the production number and identity card.
