Wo bist du, edison,…? Ingo maurer.

The Wo Bist Du, Edison,…? (Where are you, Edison?) pendant light was inspired by the innovation of Thomas Edison’s original capture of electric light. The 360 degrees projection of a hologram, featuring an incandescent bulb, was never achieved prior to this piece’s conception in 1997 by designer Ingo Maurer. Even the socket of the holographic bulb contributes to this homage by the shape, which is a continuous profile of Edison. The lamp is made of acrylic glass and aluminum and holds a 50W halogen bulb.
