Specialized has unveiled the Turbo, featuring 700c wheels with 36 spokes for durability and a 250-watt rear hub motor. It is powered by a down-tube-mounted lithium-ion battery. The Turbo has a SRAM 1×10 drivetrain with a SRAM X0 derailleur and trigger shifter. Riders may toggle the motor between four modes via a handlebar-mounted control. Because this bike is able to cruise at about 28mph, it cannot be sold currently in the U.S., as E-bikes are capped at 20mph. The bike is available for sale in 3 sizes and costs 5,500 euros, or about $7,300.
