Forbidden fruit. Glimpt.

Blog Widget by LinkWithin

Forbidden Fruit by Swedish design duo Glimpt, Mattias Rask and Tor Palm, is a delightful collection of vibrant colored pendant lamps. The hand-decorated, ceramic shades are strung from different hued cords, fitted with bright, variously shaped discs punctuating the top of the shades where they sit. The cords are made more unique by the colorful, turned pearls they are imbued with. The finely painted details on the body of the shades are inspired by the look of strawberry pips.

Forbidden Fruit is a product of Glimpt South Africa, which sees the duo collaborating with artisans from other parts of the world. In this case, with Furntech and The Potters Workshop in Cape Town. The premise was to create a series of products for the European market, teeming with a South African essence.

Other fruit were born through this collaboration: the sideboard, a stool and the Last Fruit Standing. View more at Glimpt.
