Comparing this table to a sculpture by Richard Artschwager, Adam Caruso applies a language synonymous with the company’s own architecture – cerebral, post-modernist forms – to create this beautifully understated piece. Constructed from an engineered timber material of modest qualities, unusual to furniture-making, the muted joints make it look almost abstract, or simply like a picture of a table. The solid, physical form of the table, however, secures its very practical uses as a meeting or dining table in a wide variety of environments.
