Herman Miller came to the innovative design team Studio 7.5 to create a chair with an emphasis on movement. The Setu flexes to your every move from the moment you sit down. There’s nothing to tilt or adjust, the chair and the user become one with every shift. The spiraling shape is inspired by nature and each bend and corner were shaped and reshaped to move so each molecule falls in perfect harmony. The adaptable Setu can fit all sizes and shapes and equally all places and spaces. This smartly designed chair also remains consistent with Herman Miller’s goal to become completely sustainable by 2020 by using materials that are 93% recyclable. After releasing the chair in 2009 it won two Best of Neocon awards, Interior Design magazine’s Best of Year product award, the prestigious Design of the Decade Gold award as “Best Sustainable Design Solution”, and was a winner in I.D.’s 2010 Annual Design Review.
