The Humanscale FM500 provides excellent support for both the legs and feet which eases pressures on the lower back. The curved die-cast aluminum leg supports encourage rocking, which reduces swelling in the feet and increases circulation. The rubber, non-skid grids keep feet in place and protect hard flooring. The FM500 is mostly made from plywood and aluminum support is 99% recyclable. After its release in 2005 it won the Buildings Magazine Innovations Award and the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture Good Design Award.
