Konstantin Grcic broke out of the convention of formal upright seating with the Chaos chair for Classicon. The chair avoids imposing a particular posture of the sitter and invites them to instead perch, fidget, turn and shift. The chair is narrow from the side, but offers a large angular seat and back, able to seat two people next to one another. The frame is made with steel tubing and rubber webbing and upholstered with polyurethane with polyester filling. The cover is available in several colors in fabric or leather.
The chair is uncomfortable looking but allows the sitter to ability to use the chair for what they demand in everyday situations such as sitting, waiting and observing. This undeniably unusual and hip chair allows the user to make this chair into something special.
