Bricks & mortar chair. Richard woods and sebastian wrong.

Blog Widget by LinkWithin

Richard Woods collaborated with designer Sebastian Wrong for this furniture series. The irony of the Brick & Mortar chair resides in the sheer comfort of the chair versus the perceived “hard” and seemingly uninviting look of the brick print. The scale of the bricks Established & Sons screen printed chair dictate the scale of the seat while the blocky fundamental shape of the chair provides a beautiful canvas for the print. Inspired by the natural progression into upholstered surfaces this chair uses a timber frame, foam and feather cushions and a screen printed removable upholstery.
