“Opus” is metal openwork, an elegant Centrepiece reminiscent of fabric lace. It was precisely lace and tatting that inspired Guido Venturini in his design of this sophisticated article, produced with the laser cutting technique. Via a lengthy process that sees the point of the laser rise and lower on the sheet metal again and again, the steel is perforated with painstaking precision in order to reproduce the openwork typical of lace.

Once the cutting is finished, the steel is polished and then modelled in a mould to give it its final shape, further enhancing the pattern. Made from stainless steel, “Opus” is a large Centrepiece whose shape conveys lightness thanks to its unusual openwork pattern.
