Among the many objects presented by German furniture manufacturer Walter Knoll at the recent Orgatec 2012, the leading international fair for office and facility in Cologne, the company presented the Liz Chari, by Claudio Bellini.

The new chair has been reduced to an essence, of what Walter Knoll describes as “what is most beautiful.” The chair’s silhouette is defined by swaying lines, and gently spans its expanses of fabric or leather for seat and back.

The delicate framework gives stability to an elastic textile inside, a high-tech material originally developed for aviation which ensures special comfort. Liz seeks to be “pioneeringly innovative”, like the Antimott armchair by Walter Knoll in the 1930s with its horizontal coil springs.

Liz features versions with and without armrests, in order to individualise comfort. The chair also has a removable cover, and the variant with an armrest can be stacked.
