Man vs Wild star and survivalist Bear Grylls collaborated with well-established knife and multitool manufacturer Gerber to create the Bear Grylls Survival Hatchet. Constructed from a single piece of steel, the strength of full-tang construction is second to none, the handle is covered with non-slip rubberized polypropylene and a nylon sheath with a belt loop is also included. The hatchet weighs only 1.4 pounds, with a razor-sharp 3.5 inch blade and an overall length of 9.46 inches. The back of the axehead is crosshatched to help tackle the work of a hammer, and there is a place shaped into the steel of the handle for better hand placement when doing more precise blade work. The Bear Grylls Survival Hatchet, like most of Gerber’s products, carries a lifetime warranty.
