A combination of industrial and warm materials, the Lancaster chair features components of reclaimed solid ash and die-cast aluminum. Known for his expertise in aluminum manufacturing, designer Michael Young started exploring ways to join other materials to aluminum. He partnered with Emeco (notable aluminum chair maker) and Lancaster was born. In the words of Young, “the wood creates a softer edge, whilst the aluminum keeps it sophisticated”. The chairs stack up to six high.
