Fat fat pouf ottoman. Patricia urquiola

Blog Widget by LinkWithin

Presented: Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2007, Milan. In the beginning there was Fat-Fat a multifunctional element that doubled as a table/container, from which first the Fat-Fat coffee tables and then the Fat-Fat bed developed. Now these same round, soft and sinuous shapes are repeated in a seating system that recall the ashtrays of yesteryear, or Moroccan ottomans: an ideal surface for placing objects or for storage – once you lift the metal tray. The outside cover in synthetic fabric, felt, leather or pony skin conceals a frame made in orange polyethylene (created through rotational molding), and a composite of polyurethane with flakes of regenerated PET that determines the shape of the piece.
