A new take on the classic Emeco Navy Chair, the 111 Navy Chair is made of 111 recycled plastic bottles. In 2006, Coca-Cola came to Emeco with a the idea to create a functional piece of furniture out of a new, unproven formulation of rPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate- recycled plastic bottles). Coke wanted to alter consumer behavior by showing the value of rPET with beautifully designed products to encourage more recycling. The 111 Navy chair is available in six colors and can be used inside or outdoors. The new chair has a distinctive velvet finish that is scratch resistant.

The original design of the 111 is the aluminum 1006 Navy Chair designed in 1944.
